Slow down to get stronger
Yin yoga is a calm, meditative form of yoga. You hold the poses, mostly seated and lying down, for 3 to 5 minutes. This works deep into your connective tissue and joints and gives your body and mind room to settle.
Come on an empty or light stomach and wear warm, comfortable clothing, because you cool down quickly in yin. Arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in calmly before we start.
You hold each pose for 3 to 5 minutes, supported by blocks and bolsters. That long duration slowly stretches your connective tissue and creates space where you hold tension. You learn to feel where you're stuck, and how to let it go.
Take a moment to come back and drink plenty of water. The calming effect often lasts for hours.
More flexibility and mobility, less tension and a deep inner calm. The perfect counterbalance to a busy life or heavy workouts in the gym.

Strength and calm in one class
Yin yang yoga combines the best of both worlds. You start with an active part (yang) that warms up your muscles and raises your heart rate. Then you switch to longer-held, passive poses (yin). That way you train strength and flexibility, and go home relaxed.
Come on an empty or light stomach and wear clothing you can move in easily. Bring an extra layer for the calm part of the class.
In the yang part you move at a flowing pace through sun salutations and standing poses. Your muscles get warm and strong. In the yin part you hold poses for a few minutes and let your connective tissue do the work. That alternation teaches you when to push on and when to let go.
Drink plenty of water and give yourself a moment. Your body is warmed up and relaxed at the same time, so take that feeling calmly into your day.
More strength, more suppleness and a good balance between effort and relaxation. Ideal if you want to work hard and unwind.

Build a strong foundation
Hatha yoga is the classic foundation of almost all yoga styles. You work at a calm pace on poses, breathing and relaxation, holding each pose for a number of breaths. That gives you time to set it up properly. Perfect if you're new to yoga, and challenging enough if you've practised for years.
Come on an empty or light stomach, in clothing you can move freely in. New, or have an injury? Just let your teacher know and we'll take it into account.
The class starts with breathing and a calm warm-up. Then you work through standing, seated and lying poses, with attention to good alignment. Your teacher offers cues and variations so you work at your own level and progress every class. You finish with relaxation.
You feel energised and relaxed at the same time. Drink plenty of water and take that calm into your day.
More strength, flexibility and body awareness, better posture and a calmer mind. The foundation you can build everything on.

Move to the rhythm of your breath
In vinyasa flow you link every movement to your breath. The poses flow into one another, so the class feels like one continuous flow. Dynamic, powerful and different every time.
Come on an empty or light stomach and wear sportswear that moves with you. Bring a towel, because you're going to sweat.
You move at a steady pace through sun salutations, standing poses and balance exercises. Your breath sets the rhythm: inhale as you open, exhale as you fold or twist. You build heat, get stronger and learn to move with focus. Every class is structured differently, so you're challenged again and again.
Take time for the final relaxation, because that's where everything you've done sinks in. Drink plenty of water, you've moved a lot.
More strength, stamina and flexibility, plus a clear head. For anyone who wants yoga with energy and challenge.

Discipline that makes you stronger
Ashtanga yoga is a powerful, dynamic style with a fixed series of poses that you do in the same order every class. Breath, movement and focus come together. Because the series is fixed, you see exactly how much you progress class after class.
Come on an empty stomach, because ashtanga is intense. Wear close-fitting clothing and bring a towel. New to ashtanga? Build up gradually; your teacher will help you with variations.
You start with sun salutations and then work through the standing and seated poses of the primary series. You breathe audibly and evenly (ujjayi) and keep your gaze on a fixed point. That way you build heat, strength and concentration. It's challenging, and that's exactly why you grow.
Take the full final relaxation; after an ashtanga class you really need it. Drink plenty of water and give your body time to recover.
A stronger and more supple body, more stamina and sharp focus. For those who love structure and want to challenge themselves again and again.
