Pilates in Blaricum

Strength starts from within. In mat pilates every movement counts: small, controlled and surprisingly tough. You train your core, improve your posture and feel class after class that you stand taller and move stronger. Whether you're from Laren, Huizen or Eemnes, take your first step in Pilates Basic or take on the challenge in Pilates Advanced.
Build your strength from within
Pilates Basic is the ideal start. You learn the basic principles of pilates: breathing, engaging your core and moving with control. At a calm pace you build a strong foundation you'll enjoy for the rest of your life. No experience needed.
Come on an empty or light stomach and wear close-fitting, comfortable clothing so your teacher can see your posture clearly. Have an injury or complaints? Just let us know and you'll get a suitable variation.
You work on the mat on exercises for your abs, back, pelvis and shoulders. Every movement is small and controlled, and your breathing sets the pace. Your teacher watches your form and explains why an exercise works, so you learn to feel which muscles you're using. Calm, but you'll notice how hard your core is working.
You stand taller and feel muscles you didn't know you had. Drink plenty of water and pay attention over the next few days to how you sit and stand.
A stronger core, better posture and less risk of back and neck complaints. The perfect foundation for any other sport, and for the days you sit a lot.
More control, more challenge
Advanced Pilates is a more intensive class for those who already master the basic techniques and positions. You perform the exercises at a higher level, with more challenge in strength, stability, balance and coordination. The focus is on control, precision and a strong core, and the exercises follow each other at a faster pace.
You already know the basics of pilates: your breathing, engaging your core and the key positions. Wear close-fitting clothing, bring grip socks and arrive a little early to warm up calmly.
The exercises are harder and flow into one another. You work with more repetitions, longer series and more difficult variations, and your core stays engaged the whole class. Your trainer keeps a close eye on your technique, so you keep moving precisely and with control.
You finish with calm, lengthening exercises. Drink plenty of water and give your muscles time to recover. You'll probably still feel your core the next day.
A stronger core, more stability and strength, better balance and coordination, and refined technique. For experienced participants who want to challenge themselves further.
